so close

The room is SO close to being ready for my favorite part of this ordeal: DECORATING!!! I tend to think of putting together a nursery as the reward for enduring 9 months of pregnancy although last go round I didn’t do all that much…between Alex and a sweet friend, I felt like I just watched it come together as Meg had envisioned.

I’ve had Seth’s bedding since we found out we were having a boy and I’m SO looking forward to seeing it in his room. That and we have a gazillion other things that need to be moved from Hope’s closet into Seth’s b/c her closet is currently very messy and no attempt to reorganize it will be made until we get all of his stuff out of there…better snap a shot so you can see for yourself what I’m talking about…

Anyway, here’ s a few pics from the last week…we had the room professionally texturized and it looks fantastic. This was such a relief for Alex as he’s been so diligent to make sure everything was completed precisely as it needed to be completed…to have the same crew who sprayed the house last July come in and spray the texture gives the room a seamless flow with the rest of the house. Not only did that give Alex a break, but it allowed him to get geared up for hanging the doors and trim. (We purchased all of our supplies from the same company who Pulte is purchasing from so it all matches the rest of the house.)

Our neighbors and friends, the Zillers, have quite the selection of power tools that Chad was kind enough to lend to Alex so it’s made this last leg of getting everything hung and secured in place go by so much more quickly, not to mention the invaluable advice Chad has offered along the way…anyway, here are the pics…a recap if you will from where we started to where we are as of last night!
